![]() Streamlabs uses about 12 of my CPU vs traditional OBS using about 5-6. The ONLY thing that other streaming services have over Streamlabs is the CPU usage. Video Capture Device sources have been updated to support frame rates above 60 FPS and to automatically set up the audio input for many devices that previously required manual configuration. Streamlabs made it easy to begin streaming with their MASSIVE variety of overlays, alert boxes, and stream labels for your stream. ![]() I'm not saying you should choose one or the other, but stating it need more hardware is not correct. Streamlabs OBS uses less system resource than OBS, and you also need only one software open for stream + notifications + chat while if you use OBS you have to start three or more separate softwares to do the same. There are also several smaller updates and QOL improvements, such as media key support for Linux, less restrictive replay buffer limits, muting of browser docks, dynamic bitrate recovery improvements, and more. You can choose from 30+ social channels to stream to at once. If you want to get the most out of your live streams, try multistreaming with Restream. If you’re a gamer and have a powerful PC, Streamlabs is the better choice. These tools should help people further fine-tune their audio setups. However, OBS Studio requires fewer system resources. Two new audio filters have been added! An upward compressor, which helps normalize volume from being too quiet, and a 3-band EQ for making simple adjustments to the levels of your audio. ![]() On macOS, HEVC and ProRes are now supported. However, the changes also mean that displays will no longer potentially switch if anything has been unplugged or changed.
